Are you Minna's new Software Engineer?

We are looking for our new Senior Software Engineer to join our Merchant Features team. As part of the team, you’ll be working very closely with your Product Owner, UX Designer and fellow engineers to figure out and build our product offering for Merchant, a very promising growth product in our company.

In close collaboration with our talented Merchant Sales team, you’ll have a high impact on the direction our features will take and how to solve our customers’ pains and deliver value.

Our Technology Stack includes Scala as the main backend language, React & Typescript in the frontend. Your work will mainly focus on the Backend.

Things you’ll be doing
- Be responsible for designing and developing new features to enhance the company’s merchant feature infrastructure

- Work within a cross-functional agile team on the Merchant Features team

- Participate in Product Discovery sessions to identify the next step in our product offerings

- Lead discovery related tasks such as technical Proofs of Concepts or the feasibility of a solution.

- Take part in technical workshops with customers

- Turn customer needs and feedback into possible solutions & features to implement

- Partner with your product team on iterating on the existing product for increased conversion and adoption

- Own delivery and optimization of road tested features

- Contribute to Engineering initiatives to move us forward on our technology roadmap

- Help the rest of the Engineering community to improve our ways of working and velocity.

To excel and thrive in this role
- You are comfortable and have experience with 0 to 1 products where Product Discovery and technical Proofs of Concepts are prevalent.
- You like to work closely with your customers and find technical solutions by having quick feedback loops.
- You have a good understanding of what makes a good product and the role that Engineering plays in achieving it.
- You know how to keep the complexity of your system down while delivering on your tasks
- You like working with data and alerting to monitor the performance of the system
- You are a reliable team member, communicator and love taking initiative.
- You can be independent in your approach to solving a problem and know when & how to involve stakeholders to reach your goal.
- You have experience with building Scala, Java or Kotlin backend services in modern tooling such as Quarkus, Micronaut or Spring Boot.

It's a bonus if..
- You have experience with Data Science or Machine Learning
- You have worked within the FinTech industry before
