Right now, there is an opportunity for an experienced C++ developer to join us, and we already have the perfect first assignment lined up: coding futuristic software for a renowned customer in the automotive business.

Job Description

As Software Developer in this assignment, you will join a team of 8 people located in Lund. The team consists of one Scrum Master, one Architect and 6 Developers.

Since this is assignment revolves around highly confidential areas, there are many things we can’t tell you at this point. What we can tell you is that the development is done using mainly C++, with other tools used for code generation and automated testing, like Zuul, Clang, Polyspace and tools developed by the customer.

This assignment is a long-term mission, which will enable you to really make your mark, while digging deep into the technical and cultural landscape. At the same time, you can always count with support and advice from your colleagues and managers at Sigma, as we want to do everything we can to help you succeed while developing you and your skills.

Role and responsibilities

In this role you will be working with HAL API development and service using C++. Code review and API review are also parts of the assignment.

Your stack will mainly consist of C/C++, Git, Gerrit, Gitlab, Docker, Linux, YAML.

Even though this work takes place in an embedded layer, no previous experience of embedded development is needed.

These are the tools for this first particular assignment. Looking further into your future at Sigma Connectivity, there will be a wide array of different development assignments to choose from, with different tech stacks on different levels.

Basic Qualifications

For this assignment, we believe you need at least 5 years of experience of C++ development.

You don’t have to be savvy in algorithms or data structure, but you need to have a firm understanding of code generation, creating methods and API:s.

On a personal note, you’re able to see things from others perspective and maintain focus on solutions. You express your thoughts and ideas well, while building good relationships with stakeholders and colleagues alike. Communication, initiative and flexibility goes a long way.
