Lead Artist

In order to be able to create more world class digital toys we're looking to expand our team in Stockholm with an experienced lead artist. You will work together with play designers, artists and developers in producing new digital toys.

At Toca Boca our lead artists have great freedom and responsibility of the final product. You'll be the one leading, creating and producing the art together in collaboration with other team members. Your influence on the next Toca Boca app will be immense.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• concept art and art direction
• visual style and quality of the graphical assets
• hands on work producing and adding graphics to the app
• express and communicate your ideas and visions
• ensure together with the project team members that the art direction fits with the overall project goals

We're looking for a Lead Artist who

• loves toys and games
• has a unique visual style
• has solid skills in Unity, Maya, Illustrator and Photoshop
• has created appealing characters and captivating environments
• has several years of documented competence in the games or -online industry or similar
• did lead art development on at least one or two mobile games in an app store
• has solid experience of creating 3D as well as 2D graphics for games
• is experienced in creating great animations
• is a great illustrator
• pays attention to detail, is curious and takes pride in work
• enjoys working together with developers to find technical solutions to graphical problems
• is a motivated team player
• is fluent in written and spoken English

Toca Boca is a small company and as such we expect you to be self-motivated and to continuously want to improve both process and quality. We always put emphasis on quality rather than quantity.
You'll be working with a team of artists and developers that everyday comes to the office excited to learn new things.
We work in small teams of 4-8 people, which means everyone is an important contributor in the project and has a shared responsibility for what the toy becomes.
