Scrum Master

As we continue to win new business and deliver cutting edge infotainment systems based on Android Automotive to our automotive and commercial vehicle customers around the globe. We now need to strengthen Aptiv's HMI competency in Gothenburg with a new inspired alternating Scrum Master and Android App Developer.

As one of the main functional domains of the User Experience division, the HMI domain is organized in multiple Scrum teams across three main locations: Bangalore (India), Krakow (Poland) and Gothenburg (Sweden). The teams collaborate on exciting customer projects and advanced engineering projects to bring state of the art UI application software to Aptiv’s product offering.

We develop UI for several different types of products in the Aptiv product portfolio, ranging from traditional UIs for Instrument Clusters and Infotainment Head Units, to advanced 3D visualizations for our Interior Sensing Platform and ADAS applications. The Gothenburg team has a leading role in Aptiv’s R&D Android app development.

Your main responsibility is to lead the team development activities and ceremonies in your role as Scrum Master in Aptiv’s agile AutoScrum framework (similar to SAFeTM), but we believe you are a software developer at heart who is empowered and enthusiastic by having the technical insight and skills to part-time support the team as an Android App Developer.

Your Role

• Lead internal R&D or customer project teams to design and develop a wide variety of infotainment applications for Android Automotive as the team’s Scrum Master.
• Maintain meaningful relationships with customer: understanding requirements, problem solving and taking ownership of decisions.
• Work with cross-functional teams across the world in a multi-cultural and diverse environment.
• Support the Product Owner as customer interface.
• Support the Product Owner for product backlog management, refinement and prioritization.
• Plan the team work and alignment with overall PI goals of the projects.
• Manage an remove team impediments.
• Facilitate and optimize Scrum ceremonies.
• Guide and train junior developers in Scrum and agile development.
• Support the team as Android App Developer.

Your Background

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or similar.
• 5+ years of experience from software development within automotive, the consumer electronics industry, or similar.
• Documented experience from leading teams as Scrum master or Software Project Manager (documented certification is a bonus).
• Passion for leading people and process improvement.
• Up to date on modern Android app development using Kotlin, coroutines, etc.
• Understanding of the Android framework and the lifecycles of activities, fragments and processes.
• Understanding of the Android build chain.
• Familiar with different presentation (MVx) architectures such as MVVM/MVI/MVP, and application architectures such as CLEAN.
