Control Software Lead position will be located in Västerås, Sweden, and the holder of the role will report to the Head of After Market team.

SCOPE OF THE ROLE
You will lead the Control Software (SW) development activities for the propulsion systems for order projects in warranty phase. You will work with order projects, but also participate in the department's improvement work and development.

You will be part of a project team which usually consists of project managers, and project introduction manager. As each project is unique, you will experience various solutions/ technologies while also top international exposure, most of our projects being delivered abroad.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES & CHALLENGES
-Leadership & deliverables
-Lead, manage and coordinate all Control SW development activities for the propulsion system for order projects in warranty phase;
-Deliver according to requirements, budget and schedule, while also motivating the Control SW team.
-Ensure that all technical requirements and demands in the customer/contract are covered by the defined engineering scope within the function;
-Ensure design solutions are aligned with all external interfaces (electrical, mechanical and functional).
-Budget, planning & monitoring
-Ensure that all tasks and deliverables within the function are planned, executed, monitored and delivered according to plan;
-Identify, prepare and implement approved changes;
Responsible for the adherence of applicable engineering processes;
-Ensure that verification activities are identified, planned, performed and documented according to the project DPS and V&V-plan.
-Provide reporting as required to the Project Engineer Manager and the Engineering Line Management.
-Assure adherence (within his/her responsibilities), to relevant standards and norms.

YOUR EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
-At least 5 years of previous work experience in the field of SW development;
-Proven record of experience with SW development activities while also with project management/technical lead responsibilities;
-Experience with SW solutions development for propulsion systems within railway, aerospace and/or auto-motive industry is essential for the role (for at least 2 years);
-Knowledge/understanding of various software programming languages and/or of software compilers tools (e.g. MATLAB, Simulink or others similar) are highly desirable;
-High analytic skills and good drive for results are a must as you will deal with ?route cause analysis? within a short-deadlines and high business pressure environment;
-Good communication and team player skills are needed as you will have to manage various stakeholders of all levels within the project;
-Fluency in English is mandatory; Swedish is highly desirable while French and/or German will be a plus;
-BSc or MSc in Engineering, preferably Computer Science, Power Electronics, Automation or Electrical.
