Senior Software Engineer (Tools & Automation)

We are currently growing our Integrated Systems Cellular team and are looking for a Software Engineer in Tools and Automation. This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer who likes to break things and then fix them, someone who is quality-focused and a customer advocate in an extremely fast paced agile development environment.

You will be looking at features and specifications and constantly thinking about how to automate them, diving into existing code, finding and fixing problems and writing regression automation to prevent future issues. Ideal candidates will be those that are analytical problem solvers, able to think for themselves when solving difficult problems whilst also coding automation frameworks.

Responsibilities:

• Cross platform tools to tie into automation
• Web development to mine and present data and improve workflows to the development teams
• Create automation and infrastructure using different tools and languages
• Create test frameworks and CI/CD infrastructure
• Analyse and debug systems and development platforms
• Work with 3rd party vendors to optimise automation of their test equipment in the test labs

Requirements:

• Team player who is interested in new technology and excited about fixing things and finding bugs
• Experienced in Python and C# or Java
• Experience of using databases and web technologies
• Proven experience of automating and integrating automation into CI/CD
• Telecoms automation experience is a plus as is experience with Django or Jenkins
