Your responsibilities:

You will be part of the European Markets Technology team, which develops and supports the central parts of the trading system for the Nordic and Baltic markets, in addition to being responsible for providing the world with a consolidated market data feed. Together with your experienced and enthusiastic team, you will be responsible for the delivery of enhancements and supporting the re-architecture of our highly distributed, resilient, and mission-critical systems. You will be working with the tasks related to the whole Software Developer lifecycle including parts of QA, working closely together in agile teams consisting of developers, requirement specialists, and AMG support.

As a Software Developer, your main focus will be developing and implementing software solutions. Besides working closely with your colleagues in Stockholm, you will also work closely with Nasdaq teams in other countries. Furthermore, you will:

Develop new complex functionality and maintain the existing codebase in an environment handling large volumes of data and high demands for high availability

Modify existing internal software products to add new functions, adapt to new hardware, improve performance or enhance product usability

Participate in IT systems strategy, development, and /or integrations services to clients

Ability to perform key roles within the agile methodology

What you will bring:

A degree in Computer Science or related discipline

A few years of work experience in software development

Strong knowledge in Java programming language and backend development

Solid understanding of Linux/Unix environments, including scripting in Bash, Perl, or similar

Abilities to engage and collaborate closely with external clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders

A strong inner drive and motivation, thriving in a high pace environment

It would be nice if you have:

Knowledge or experience from e.g. Gradle, Ant, JUnit, JSON, GIT

An interest in the Java library and tools “ecosystem” (including open source)

Experience from the financial industry will be considered meriting

A background in testing with QA testing
