System Manager (675226)

About this opportunity

We are looking for System Managers (SM) for areas within Packet Core development, for User Plane Core.

You will be part of the SM community and work with DG User plane. Development team, where you jointly plan the work and share tasks and knowledge.

What you will do

In the role you will also be working in close cooperation with, e.g., Architects and Product Owners, managing requirements and influence future evolvement in the area. Some challenges are maintaining focus on priorities, communicate, and be active in studies needed to drive the area towards the product vision. Previous Ericsson UP core experience as developer and if you have worked in Telecom company with requirement and have network and code knowledge is a big advantage and will give a huge benefit when searching the position

As an SM, you will learn to master cutting-edge technology in IP networks, 5G core and distributed real-time embedded systems.

Working with developing high- performance system with real-time requirements.

• Manage strategic technical leadership within the area
• Build and manage requirements and take ownership for selected system artifacts
• Conduct system studies and manage compliance with standards as well as provide recommendations to standardization work
• Support Q&A activities and pre-sales support within the competence area
• Be a member and contributor in the system management community
• Work together with development teams to handle backlog refinement, feature studies and splitting large packages into workable items
• Work with 4G and 5G core, cloud technologies, Kubernetes with product developed in C, C++

You will bring

• Bachelor or degree or higher education in a technical field related to Computer Science
• Extensive and comprehensive experience in software development
• Solid knowledge about IP networks and Mobile Networks.
• Experience in technical leadership
• An innovative and creative approach paired with the ability to adapt and respond to change
• Interest and pride in understanding the whole product and its environment and passion for learning and sharing information with team members
• Passion and love to continue developing your knowledge, working at the forefront with new technologies
• Superb communication skills, paired with fluency in spoken and written English and positive “can-do” attitude
