Solution Engineer

We are now looking for a French speaking Solution Engineer. You could be based out of our Stockholm or Berlin offices or our soon to be opened London and Paris offices, or you could work fully remotely from your home town!
You will report to the Head of Solution Engineering EMEA based in Paris.

What is the Hive Solution Engineering Team?
The Hive Solution Engineering (SE) team is our technical team working tightly with Hive Sales team, primarily focused on winning new opportunities, but also upsells and sometimes renewals. The SE team has the comprehensive product knowledge, deep enterprise networking skills and supports Sales and Customers with high responsiveness. They are a trusted adviser in Video Delivery and Video Experience. You will be part of a growing Global Solution Engineering team with members based in the U.S., Stockholm, Zürich, London, Paris...

Working as a Solution EngineerYou will have the important role of evangelizing, explaining & demonstrating the Hive Streaming service for customers in the Americas. You’ll work directly with customers, but also the best Enterprise Video Platforms in the market, to use the Hive Streaming service with a video platform; such as Microsoft Stream & Teams, Kaltura, Notified, PGI, Meta Workplace, Webinar.net, and more.

You will...

- Deliver technical sales presentations and pre-sales support alongside Hive AEs

- Work hands-on with prospects and customers to deliver strategic solution demonstrations, presentations, and best practices that showcase functional capabilities, competitive advantages, and business benefits of the Hive solutions throughout the sales cycle, from demo to proof of concept to design and implementation.

- Articulate Hive's service requirements, including networking, endpoint requirements and provide product feedback

- Contribute on RFI, RFP and security questionnaires
- Be a driver of change to create a better experience for our customer

Who you are…

- Understand Sales from a technical solution viewpoint, is a self-starter but works collaboratively to drive opportunities forward.
- Know enterprise architecture & networking, including routing, firewalls, VPNs, Wi-Fi and InfoSec policy

- You’re known for being a “team player.” We just can’t emphasize this enough.
- You have domain knowledge within video streaming technology: from HDS to HLS to MPEG-DASH, IP Multicast, & more and are familiar with the end-to-end video streaming workflow from encoding to distribution
- Feel comfortable talking with all levels of customer teams from individual contributors to C-level executives using language that appropriately translates complex technical and business information.

This role is primarily for a French candidate who speaks English, any extra European languages (German, Swedish, Spanish, …) would be a big plus!

The perfect match will be... - 3+ years of relevant experience in a similar role (Sales Engineering / Solutions Consultant / Solutions Engineer) for a SaaS company, that requires a strong mix of technical & client-facing skills.
- A good communicator, seeking first to understand and then to be understood
- An initiator, who champions new initiatives within and beyond the scope of own job and seeks out new work challenges
- A curious learner and entrepreneur that will challenge the status quo, champion new initiatives and seeks new perspectives and ideas to stimulate innovation
- experience in Customer interaction from Support or similar roles
- Structured and a good planner, producing short and long-term plans that are comprehensive and realistic
