About ADEx:

We are a Silicon Valley startup bringing AI to several industries that have been left behind. We want to be the WolframAlpha for answering questions for industries like commercial real estate. We are creating an automated system to understand, review, and manage legal and financial documents for organizations such as REITs, law firms, and businesses. We are utilizing machine learning and natural language processing techniques so that our clients can achieve lower costs, lower errors, and lower times in their document summarization processes. As part of our product, we are also re-imagining how people browse and view their documents.

About This Role:

You must be a high-performing, self-starting machine learning engineer that is able to take a business problem, understand it completely, and cast it to the data science realm. You are able to think outside the box about adjacent issues, such as how to bootstrap ground truth data, incorporate user behavior for real-time machine learning, or transfer learning. You should be able to design a scalable machine learning system justified by theory and quantifiably address the business problem. You take pride in and own your models end-to-end: from design to code to documentation to evaluation to productionization to maintenance.

Experience:

You are pursuing or have earned a BS, MS, or PhD degree in computer science, mathematics (or equivalent). Can substitute with sufficient relevant practical experience in machine learning.

Skills:

Required:

• Solid understanding of the mathematical fundamentals for machine learning (e.g. probability, linear algebra, calculus, etc.)
• Ability to cast real-world problems to known ML literature
• Ability to design and implement novel algorithms
• Experience with ML libraries such as TensorFlow, Spark, PyTorch, sci-kit, etc.
• Ability to design systems for collecting and cleaning up ground truth data

Desired:

• Experience developing in-use machine learning systems at scale
• Expertise in natural language processing algorithms
• Expertise in computer vision algorithms
• Experience with version control
• Expertise in deep learning, bagging, boosting, reinforcement learning, etc.
