Principal Engineer – F O T A/SOTA

Job duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for supporting integration of FOTA services for the vehicle programs
• Responsible for supporting delivery of FOTA services for the vehicle programs
• Responsible for FOTA Client and Update Agent integration/porting of platform API
• Responsible for developing/analyzing FOTA/SOTA backend requirements
• Collaborating with team, suppliers and partners for deliverables and accurate project status
• Providing support for ensuring FOTA/SOTA System is delivered to quality, cost, and timing targets
• Collaborate with on-board Connected Car team, test teams (both on-board and off-board) and engineering team to confirm end to end system delivery & performance for FOTA/SOTA system
• Support technical assessments, participate in architecture review for FOTA/SOTA and provide guidance for the technical roadmap
• Analysing and solving complex problems using various tools and techniques, definition, logging and tracking of actions required to solve/overcome problems
• Collect, manage, and analyse data to produce technical reports/presentations as appropriate

Skills requirements:

• Extensive knowledge of Multimedia integration testing and validation from the device side with features such as Android Auto, CarPlay, AM/FM, SXM (Satellite Radio), Bluetooth Connectivity Media/Call testing, Vehicle Cluster testing
• Solid understanding and experience with CAN systems and ECUs/Modules on the vehicle.
• Proficient with CANoe, CAPL coding, and Vehicle Spy3. Proficient at solderingExperienced with Web Design, Cloud Computing, Virtual Machines, Java, MySQL, PHP, HTML, SQL Server 2008, Python, Eclipse, PyDev, Linux, Vector CANoe, Telematics Features
• Good knowledge of Operating Systems: Windows XP/Vista/7/10
• Familiar with ADB, DDMS, and Android LogViewer
