Embedded Software Developer

MUSIC Tribe in Sweden, located in new office building in Kungsbacka, is responsible for the product categories amplifiers and signal processors under the brands Lab.Gruppen, Lake and Klark Teknik. We are now taking our next step in developing a brand new, modern and attractive Design Center and we need you in our continuous development of our groundbreaking premium amplifiers and signal processing solutions for the professional audio industry. We are now reinforcing our embedded team with new passionate developers, reaching out to you who want to be part of our agile embedded firmware team. In this team we work on a new generation pro audio equipment. We deliver embedded firmware for our amplifiers running on high density/speed HW designs. Our renowned designs perform advanced signal processing ensuring audio quality and operational reliability.

We work close to the hardware, implement features in accordance with our customers wishes and develop tools to automate the testing of our code. Of course, we continuously improve how we work and collaborate - this is where your skills and personality add to Lab.gruppens delivery and culture.

Roles and Responsibility

Technical

• Develop embedded software on systems with real time requirements.
• Write unit tests for the developed software solutions and integrate into CI pipelines.
• Drive embedded software projects from idea, through design and architecture to delivery.

Operational

• Most important: You are self-motivated, used to manage your own time and strive to learn new things. You pro-actively seek the extra information you need from other colleagues or external sources and share your findings as we grow together.
• You are a fundamental player when designing new firmware architecture and will be involved from the very beginning of the development process.
• You work closely with other developers that focus on power electronics, DSP algorithms or UX. Together you deliver a product our customers want.
• You and the team take complete responsibility of the FW architecture, code quality & testing.
• You work closely with internal and external customers, implement new features as well as solving our customers’ issues.

Qualification:

Essential skills

• Demonstrated more than 5 years experience of programming in C and C++.
• You have previously developed for real time operating systems (e.g., FreeRTOS or Embedded Linux) and built FW architectures.
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART and CAN.
• You have experience with the continuous integration process and tools, including experience in using Git for version control.
• General hardware experience and debugging of embedded systems.

Preferred skills

• Experience in Python and Rust
• Experience in DSP algorithm development and implementation on target
