About this opportunity

At Ericsson Digital Services our focus is on Lean and Agile ways of working but also on security, quality and efficiency improvements. We organize in cross functional development teams in which continuous improvement, innovation and knowledge sharing is part of the daily work.

We constantly explore how to benefit from the numerous advantages of cloud computing systems, Usability and AI, to ensure technology leadership in this area.

What you will do

Your role will include all development activities such as: requirement analysis, system design, architecture design, software design, integration, verification, simulations, tools design, Product Lifecycle Management support and product documentation.

You will bring

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or related technical field. The start date is after the summer so soon-to-be graduates are welcome!
• Up-to-date software engineering skills
• Java, Javascript, Python and Go Programming skills. Can demonstrate genuine curiosity about programming and strong skills in at least one language, preferably Java.
• Linux environment and APIs
• Solid balance of strategic thinking and ability to get things done
• Problem solving attitude and a great teammate
• Proficient skills in English

Knowledge and experience in some of the following are an advantage

• Modern software development tools such as Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, etc.
• Automation and scripting
• Data networking basics
• Basic network security and security concepts, such as HTTPS, TLS, PKI, encryption and decryption.
• RestConf/NetConf, REST/API or Ansible technologies
• CNCF, Openstack and other Open Source Communities
• Containers and Container Orchestration
• Cloud computing platforms, like VMware and OpenStack
