We are now looking for a mid-senior Data Scientist that will help us take Axactor to the next level. You will be a part of the growing team of the Business Intelligence Competence Center. Possible location will be in Gothenburg, Drammen, Helsinki or Madrid. 

Job description

You will develop and operationalize Machine Learning models. You will also have permanent interaction with BI/Operations/Business to define targets, evaluations and experiments. Moreover, the team is committed to lead data innovations and offer new insights to the Business based on data.

During your daily work, you will work with relational DB to treat data, perform Analysis in R/Python, time series forecasting, automate data processes and, finally, calculate and interpret evaluations. Together with the technical tasks, you will be involved on the discussions with BI/Operations/Business to achieve the Advanced Analytics’ goals and create a data-driven culture in the company.

The ideal candidate for this position is someone who

You have already some experience with machine learning, predictive models or analytical evaluation of processes. You have a strong business understanding and focus on delivering valuable insight and improvements to the business. We love to see that you have experience from Bank & Finance environment and that you have experience from time series forecasting. You perform your work in a proactive and structured way and have a strong focus on execution. Given that this is a cross border position you need to be great at collaboration, interested in learning, but not afraid of challenging the status quo.  Our corporate language is English, so you need to have excellent communication skills in English, both written and orally. Finally, you possess a university degree in modelling / machine learning / statistics / mathematics or equivalent and are familiar with Microsoft Azure.

Technologies

• SQL (Advanced level: windowing functions, pivoting, etc.)
• Strong statistical background
• R/Python skills for Machine Learning (Advanced)
• Unix Shell (Medium level: fluent working with the shell and simple shell scripts processes)
• Any of the following are a plus: Hadoop stack (Hive, Spark, etc.), NLP, Deep Learning and Azure Cloud
