Job Description

This job will be in the Payment Services team, a newly formed group at Nets, who will create a next generation distributed payments processing system for Nets eCommerce and Point of Sale. The team consists mainly of payment developers from a variety of backgrounds who are primarily “hands on keyboard” working on Azure cloud and whose primary product is a set of robust RESTful APIs. The team has a digital first approach (even post pandemic), a modern, green field tech stack built on Azure. The goal of the team is to be the central payment processing connector for the entirety of Nets and third party PSPs.

What you will be doing:

• Choose the team members who they feel can best support the drive to launch products
• Create projects together with product to validate new ideas and business concepts that emerge before it becomes development ready
• Look out into the market about what is possible in the payments space and the associated value added services to be added to the payment services offering
• Understand, plan and influence the future of Relays’ technical systems through skunk works deliveries
• Bring to life the skunk works investments that make sense for the company and empower and support the contributing development teams to make the right technical decisions together with the solution architect and the development team.
• Work with creating throw away prototypes that can evolve into new or better revenue streams for the company
• Build up the team around you on an ongoing and project by project basis, engaging the most relevant experts from the org to align them to the quick delivery mindset
• Support the creation of documentation showing off what has been created and why the company should care
• Ensure collaboration with external technical expertise
• Work together with DevOps on guidelines for development tools and processes
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and technical discussions leading by example
• Mentor, inspire, motivate and encourage other developers in the team

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

• Solid coding ability in .Net
• Payments experience
• Deep understanding of the lifecycle of software development
• A former tech lead or senior full-stack engineer looking to take on new opportunities - building a development platforms, applications using .Net orchestrating large-scale distributed systems, addressing privacy and security concerns
• Able to think far in advance for the development of platforms spotting problems, bottlenecks and being able to thrive in a quick iterative delivery working together with the product owner and architect to solve problems before the occur
• A mentor for the developers and a supporter of their work - find the right ratio between designing the solutions yourself and empowering others to make their own decisions
