Software Developer for Compilation & Computation Team at Modelon - Lund

Perido is looking for a Software Developer to Modelon, an industry leader in model-based systems engineering that brings innovative simulation products to market. Modelon has grown substantially since its inception and their global placement has been strategic – bringing their people and products closer to clients. Today, they serve a clientele base across a wide range of industry sectors which include some of the largest companies in the world. This position is placed in Lund.

Your daily tasks

As a developer you will be part of a highly skilled team of software engineers developing OPTIMICA Compiler Toolkit. You will interact frequently with other branches of Modelon, including application engineering to provide customer support as well as export users of the tool. You will also be part a broader team with a wide range of areas that are required to build a capable modeling and simulation/optimization platform.

Modelon’s OPTIMICA Compiler Toolkit is an advanced Modelica-based mathematical engine which offers users a powerful solution for automation, simulation and optimization of system behaviors throughout the model-based design cycle. The toolkit is the engine powering the newly released Modelon Impact. Additionally, the toolkit is in production in customized workflows as well as in OEM partner toolchains.

You are an experienced software developer with great interest for compiler development and with a high ambition to contribute in a growing market of advanced industrial users.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Interest and/or experience from compiler development

1-5 years of experience developing high performing software, including:

• Experienced with development in Java or C++
• Ability to deliver efficient and reusable code that can be understood by others
• Good communication skills, including English
• Track record of building production quality software

Meritorious:

• Experienced with the LLVM Compiler Infrastructure Project
• Experienced with JastAdd
• Experienced with the Modelica language
• Experienced with build systems (Ant)
• Experienced with development in Javascript/Typescript, Python
• Comfortable with agile practices like pair programming and code reviews
• Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering Physics or equivalent

Full time. Start ASAP. Either 6 months consulting assignment with the possibility of employment at Modelon afterwards OR employment direct at Modelon. Workhours 9-15 with flextime. Three days at work, the rest remote.
