ARRIS Linköping develops SW and HW for advanced IP-based set-top boxes. Our SW platform, KreaTV, is based on Linux and other open source components and is widely deployed around the world.
1. Department / Product Description:
ARRIS Inc. develop digital IP-TV STBs that are used on several markets in the world. In Linköping is product development of both software and hardware. The Release Management team has the responsibility to do plan and execute system and integration test and DVT. The work is conducted in projects and development teams. Your main responsibility will be to participate in system and integration test.
2. Scope Of Responsibilities / Expectations:
As a software test engineer your main responsibility will be to perform manual test. For manual test so called portals are used, which is a user interface that is written in HTML/Java script and SVG/Java script. The Java script environment uses in-house developed plugins that make it possible to via an API manipulate the under laying software. You will also be responsible for reporting bugs and do a first analysis of the bug. In order to thoroughly understand the system software development skills are required.
3. Specific Knowledge / Skills:
You will be working in a team where own initiative are obvious and expected. This role requires a lot contact and communication with other test engineers, project managers, developers and system architects. Therefor you must enjoy communicating with others. As a person you are thorough, patient, analytical, creative and curious in new technical equipment and in the product that you are testing.
We expect that you have knowledge and experience in the following areas:
a. Fluent in Russian, spoken and written

c. Intermediate level of Turkish
d. Software testing and test methodologies
e. Test lead
f. Linux
g. Embedded systems
h. Exploratory test/Context driven test
i. Software developer
j. Worked with Jira as a bug report system
k. Worked with Testlink (Test case database)
l. Knowledge in Java script and Python
m. Previously worked with Set Top Boxes
