Analytic C++ Software Developer (Guru)

Do you have a analytic mind and love developing challenging state-of-the-art software systems handling massive amounts of data?

At Shopit we are developing a large-scale online consumer Shopping Search Engine for all of Europe. Our goal is to make all products, brands and retailers searchable in one shopping search engine. To achieve this we are using the latest technologies within data mining, big data, data analysing, parallel processing, search engine logic and social shopping functionality together with modern web design and user experience for both web and mobile devices.

Since we are constantly pushing the boundaries in software and systems development to create new and exiting functionality, we invite the sharpest minds that love hard challenges to be part of our mission.

The development work includes creating high-capacity object-oriented C++ systems for analysing/categorization of product data from multiple countries and languages.

You will work closely with our current team of developers in Växjö Sweden.

You should have 5+ years of documented knowledge of following technical skills:
- Linux programming in C++ (version 11 or later)
- Object Oriented software design
- Multi-threading / parallell-processing systems
- Frameworks (QT) and libraries (STL)
- Low-level debugging and optimization (GDB, WinDBG, PTrace, Valgrind etc)
- Databases (MySQL/NoSQL)
- Networking (sockets, epool etc)
- GNU build tool-chain (GCC, GDB, Make, LD, Autotools, LLVM, CMake)
- Also good if you know any of Perl, Python, Ruby, PHP, or bash etc.

It is of course an advantage if you have special interest/knowledge/experience within:
- BigData handling
- Machine learning
- Data mining
- Data analysing, Natural language processing or Linguistics
- Distributed/Parallel processing
- Search engine logic

You will be working full-time onsite/offsite together with our dedicated team in Växjö.
