We are currently looking for a Senior Network Specialist - WDM to join any European hub office.
The Senior Network Specialist is responsible for a continuous development and validation of Arelion DWDM platforms across different domains, in close collaboration with vendors and DWDM architects Arelion teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Validate hardware components
- Validate software releases
- Validate optical solutions
- Arrange trainings sessions for all new information to support teams
- Technical expert supporting internal support teams
- Handle and own Problem Cases
- Close collaboration with vendor engineers for advanced cases
- Drive and proactive focus on improving quality
- Proactive in finding development opportunities of automation in regard to support and implementation tools
Who are you
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written, facilitation and presentation techniques
- Strong team skills and a positive track record in executing innovative ideas and coordinating among internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to show initiative, take ownership, challenge the status quo, drive simplification and a new focus within the wider business

Your Experience
- 10+ years’ experience of working in Optical network engineering roles
- Experience in defining and driving network quality
- Proven ability to accurately document and maintain standards
- Detailed understanding of all aspects of Optical networks
- Knowledge in pluggable coherent technologies and convergence networks
- Proven experience at interfacing with main optical vendors in influencing their strategy, products, and technical roadmaps
- Experience in automating tasks and services through data driven tools
- Data driven mindset - understanding the criteria and need to gather and structure data
- Experience in data wrangling through Python, R or SQL
