Senior Network Specialist - IP

We are currently looking for a skilled Senior Network Specialist - IP to join any European or North American hub office.

The Senior Network Specialist - IP will be the supporting IP specialists between our operations team and Network Engineers with a focus on solving problem cases either raised by operations or by the Senior Network Specialist - IP. It’s expected to use a structural approach to handle problem cases and secure internally knowledge database are updated. Additional tasks are training different IP related teams in various operational tasks. The Senior Network Specialist - IP will be reporting directly into the Head of Engineering Data.

Key Responsibilities

- Support with specialist knowledge the operational IP teams in daily incidents
- Handle problem cases, chase solutions, work arounds and secure documentation in knowledge DB
- Take part of educating various internal teams.
- Support advanced maintenance works, migrations & implementations

Your Experience

- 10+ years’ experience of working with network engineering or operations and ideally working closely with the main IP equipment platforms on the market today
- Detailed understanding of all aspects of IP and Ethernet networks such as, but not limited to MPLS applications, SR, QoS, EVPN, BGP, IS-IS, NETCONF/YANG, Telemetry and Netflow
- Experience in analyzing and optimizing needs for various support tools for better or quicker operational handling
- Proven ability to accurately document and maintain learned knowledge
- Proven experience at interfacing with vendors in influencing their product improvements for both hardware and software
- Understanding of optical networks and how IP are reliant on optical technology for long haul links
- Capable skills in data wrangling through Python or R, as well as SQL
