We are looking for a highly talented UX-focused Frontend Developer to join our team building Impactpool to be the best it can be. We are currently a small team but growing, making this a fantastic opportunity for you to be part of this journey while also growing in your role as a developer and UX expert.

Impactpool is a SaaS-enabled career platform for talents and organizations that wants to make a positive impact and contribute to sustainable development. Working as a front-end UX developer entails working both on our website and the SaaS self-service application.

You will be a crucial person to ensure that the UI is intuitive and a joy to work with for our clients and users, consisting of close to 700 000 registered members and over 2000 SaaS clients.

The role

We are looking for someone who can take responsibility from UX research, planning, and design to implementing it in code. You will learn how to improve the UI by observing user behavior and conducting interviews and surveys. Making the UI not only easy and intuitive to work with but also accessible for users with disabilities.

You will be a key person in developing the product's user experience and visual appearance. We believe in technological simplicity and strive to reduce unnecessary complexity while maintaining an exciting intuitive experience. You will work with Ruby on Rails, Hotwire, and Sass/Tailwind tech stack.

Your daily work will be filled with contributions to these areas:

• Conduct research, user interviews, and A/B tests
• Create wireframes and mocks in Figma
• Update existing, and implement new UI/UX designs
• Work with marketing and campaign pages
• Formalizing the design system
• Work with customer success to identify and resolve usability issues
• Be part of making sure that the frontend holds technically high quality, as well as accessibility
• Be proactive in keeping the system working by reviewing and fixing issues before they hit the support.
• Designing, developing and testing UI for mobile and web applications
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Accurately translate user and business needs into functional frontend code

Your skills and background

We would love if you have the below. All, or at least most of it!

• Fluent in English. Swedish, French or Spanish, or any other language is a plus
• Designing for both web and mobile
• Designing for User Experience
• Knowledge of WGACS and WAI
• Work data-driven and user-feedback oriented
• 2+ years' experience in frontend development
• Usability, accessibility, and maintainability are some of your favorite -ilities
• Know when to overachieve and when good enough is enough
• Have experience working with HTML5, CSS (Sass and Tailwind), and Javascript
• Experience with Ruby on Rails, Hotwire, and Stimulus
• Knows how to work with Git
• Knowing your way around backend code is a plus, especially Ruby code
• Attention to detail, yet highly imaginative and creative
• Good problem solver and an analytical mindset
• Proven track record in making things happen - delivering results quickly and efficiently
• Experience from a high-growth startup is a plus
