Senior DevOps Engineer

We develop a cloud communication platform that’s already used by 8 out of 10 leading tech giants in the US, with over 145 billion transactions every year. A platform which can reach virtually every mobile phone on the planet in seconds or less? Are you keen on working with modern cloud native technologies like Docker and Kubernetes? We are looking to add a DevOps Engineer to join our team in Malmö with a possibility to work remotely for the role.

The Essence of the role

In the role as a DevOps Engineer at Sinch you will work in a set of teams, in total they are about 10-15 people and together they build and maintain our infrastructure, develop the delivery pipeline and monitoring capabilities as well as the various tools we use to operate our technical platform. You will work in an agile environment with a strong focus on automation, reliability and continuous improvement. This role involves a lot of responsibility in designing and taking our technical platform to the next level.

As our new DevOps Engineer you will:

• Define and implement modern containerization and cloud solutions
• Developing and improving our CI/CD pipelines
• Work close to the developers and operations in designing systems that are secure and highly scalable with fast deliveries to production
• Working with all teams to ensure that our services are always up and running smoothly
• Make the lives of our developers easier!

Who are you?

For this role we imagine that you have a few years of previous experience within SRE or DevOps. As a person, you have a proactive and quality-oriented mindset, are eager to learn and have a strong drive to constantly improve things. You enjoy working in a cooperative and cross-functional environment and are generous in providing support and sharing knowledge with your colleagues.

In order to contribute in this role we believe you are good at:

• Optimizing existing systems for scalability and building large-scale infrastructure
• Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS) and cloud platforms (AWS)
• Building and improving CI/CD pipelines in Gitlab
• Infrastructure as Code with tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet
• Linux and networks
