Why your role matters to H&M Group Design Studio

As a Service UX Designer at H&M Group Design Studio, your job is to find creative solutions to solve complex problems with a focus on creating delightful customer experiences. We are looking for a forward-thinking highly skilled designer with a passion for working on ambiguous and complex future challenges. You believe in the power of human-centered design to solve the new wave of problems we face today and in the future. You thrive in a fast paced environment, comfortable with ambiguity and challenging, complex problem spaces.



Job Description


  • Be a core member of a cross functional, multidisciplinary design team who runs impactful projects end to end, addressing complex challenges across different H&M domains. Team up with skilled designers from other disciplines (like design researcher, communication designer, business designer) and subject matter experts from all over our big company in early stage innovation projects. You’ll be involved with all parts of the design process as we move from early research to live products and services, but you are the team’s number one maker and solution finder. As a team, you’ll explore the right thing to build before you build it right.
  • Use input from the team’s research to design and refine solutions to help our customers solve their problem. You communicate ideas and concepts through mockups, sketches, flows or wireframes. You are a natural storyteller and skilled presenter who can bring even abstract concepts to life and make the complex simple.
  • Collaborate with other designers to facilitate knowledge sharing and mature the prototyping practice across the studio. Coach and support less experienced colleagues.


Qualifications


  • A proven track record at a design agency or management consulting firm
  • You’re a collaborator and a relation-builder, good at communicating/engaging others., and thriving in a cross-functional setting.
  • You have a pulse on emerging trends and technology, you are passionate about looking out into the world for inspiration and insights on branding, fashion, and sustainability.
  • Expert knowledge of and experience of a broad array of design tools, methods, and processes.
  • Years of practiced craft in digital experience/product/services, ideally understand both.
  • It’s a clear advantage if you have understanding of retail and the fashion industry, especially connected to designing brand environments, customer experience, products, and/or communication. It also helps to have experience from working in a complex, multinational corporate setting.
