KYC AML Center is a center of excellence and one point of entry for Know Your Customer and Anti Money Laundry. Data Management Office’s mission is to accelerate the journey towards a more data driven and customer-oriented bank. Together, we are now strengthening the data capabilities within the division with focus on working with data and analytics within the regulatory area.

About the job

In the position as Data Analyst/Data Curator you will be a key enabler in securing sound management of data and the business opportunities it gives. It’s done by adding semantic meaning to our data catalog and accelerating the creation of high-value datasets. You will work closely with stakeholders from all parts of SEB to make sure that short-term and long-term objectives are met, and that data and data quality is an important part of processes, products and mindsets. You will assist projects and the organization in gathering large amounts of information and structure the data to draw conclusions. Furthermore, you will be a part of optimizing processes to increase the overall efficiency and regulatory controls in the daily work.

Together with the rest of the data community, you will contribute in the structural improvements of data quality issues within the bank and collaborate close with the colleagues in the KYC AML area and the Customer Insight Analytics team.

Here are some of the responsibilities that you will face in the role:

• Create and maintain metadata, by this facilitating for data consumers to find and reuse the data
• Conduct database analysis and monitoring of data flows
• Design process standards and validate business rules to secure high quality data
• Perform data quality controls in a defined Data Area, i.e., to initiate corrections, to follow up and report on data quality issues according to the process for structured error handling
• Conduct ad hoc data extracts, regular reporting and analysis of the data
• Responsible to keep track of where the data is stored and how it can be retrieved
• Promote and facilitate reuse of data for consumers within C&PC

The position is located in Arenastaden, Solna.

Who are you?

To succeed in your role, you have experience in working with large amounts of data and assessing its quality, value and potential uses. You recognise the importance of delivering presentable and understandable data. You are comfortable working with both IT and business and understanding all perspectives and bridging the gap between them. You have excellent skills in working with large amounts of data within Python, R, SAS, SQL, Tableau, Excel and/or any other tool or language and the drive to learn and improve your skills in this area. SEB are also on a journey going Cloud (GCP) so taking our data from all current systems to making it available on the Cloud, is something that we hope sparks your interest. Lastly you are comfortable with taking own initiatives and be creative when it comes to analytics, optimisation and data.

As a person you are result and team oriented and have a strong drive to develop and push for great achievements in fast changing complex environments. You are passionate about the possibilities that data brings and curiously looking for solutions to improve the overall data quality. You have a holistic perspective but the ability to focus on details when needed. You are a structured and analytical problem solver that sees the opportunity and not the problem. You have a good understanding and experience of agile way of working, and how regulatory demands impact the business. You can work individually but also see yourself as a team player.

Furthermore, you have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Swedish.
