Junior UI Programmer

Avalanche Studios is the division dedicated to ambitious, externally published, AAA open world games like Just Cause, Mad Max, and Rage 2 - our upcoming title Contraband is a co-op smuggler’s paradise set in the fictional world of 1970s Bayan.

Contraband is a brand new IP published by Xbox Game Studios, and we're now looking for a talented Junior UI Programmer to join our team at the Stockholm

As a Junior UI Programmer on this project you will work with designers and artists to conceive of and implement elements of how the game is presented to the player. Your work will involve implementing menu screens, maps, tutorials, in-game indicators or heads-up display (HUD), special fonts or other graphical elements according to agreed upon design specifications.

We're looking for someone to deliver a successful end-user experience, together with your team-mates, rather than just handing off technological solutions to content creators. A game is only as good as the interface with the player allows it to be.

Required Qualifications

- +2 years of experience in Frontend/Web Development with JavaScript, HTML5/CSS3
- Professional experience working with frameworks like React.js, Angular.js, Vue.js, Svelte

Desired Experience

- Experience or knowledge in C/C++
- Experience from the Gaming Industry
- A keen interest in UI/UX, Art Design and Graphic Design
