Broker System Developer to SEB in Stockholm

Develop and future-proof SEBs integration platform as a System Developer in the Global CoE Integration team in Stockholm!

SEB is looking for you who want to make a big impact for customers and colleagues by developing and maintaining parts of our global integration platform. You and your team are responsible for the routing, transformation, and enrichment of crucial business transactions and data. An important part of our work is keeping the platform up-to-date, and we are today working towards the cloud, containers, and automations.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Our environment consists of the IBM ACE Platform in which we route and transform messages in the programming language IBM ESQL. We are using IBM MQ/HTTP/Rest/Kafka as transfer mechanisms between different systems and to connect to databases like Oracle and MS SQL. For build and deployment, we are using Jenkins and for source code management we are using Github. We are also constantly PoC:ing and learning new technologies, and are moving towards containerization and long-term to a cloud solution. Working in the Global Center of Excellence Integration team, you will ensure the continuous operation of our integration platform by solving incidents and problems, as well as developing required functionalities and changes. You will go on-call in this position but not until you are ready for that task.

The team

You will belong to a distributed team of 7 colleagues, working in Solna and Vilnius. The team needs to grow due to popular demand of our services. Most of us have enjoyed our stay at SEB for quite a while, and we believe that having fun and working together is a recipe for success and hope you share this view as well.

We are working according to a remote hybrid model - when we are not working from home, we enjoy the facilities of Sweden´s largest office building located in Solna. The office offers amongst other things great restaurants, a gym with training classes, and events throughout the year.

YOUR PROFILE

Taking responsibility, engaging in solving issues as well as being able to collaborate with others are the most important characteristics for this role. You are willing to look beyond the first two millimeters of a problem and are perceptive for opportunities and requirements with a broader perspective in mind. Willingness to share knowledge and effective communication is also praised by the team.

Technically, you have worked with programming and development where past experiences with IBM integration products are positive. Knowledge about integrations protocols (e.g., MQ, HTTP, REST) and Message models (e.g., XML, JSON, DFDL) are important. It is meritorious if you have knowledge of databases, CI/CD-pipelines and can translate business requirements into features as well as implement these.
