Consumer Services at Volvo Group Connected Solutions is responsible for the end user services, from idea to development and operation. Together with our partners and customers we create value through fantastic user experience and business enhancing services and products.

We want to connect with curious minds that love innovation and are interested in the future of mobility services that makes our daily tasks easier. We are now looking for senior Java backend developers with an interest in developing software for services with high customer value in AWS. You will be part of a small and very skilled DevOps team that works in two-week sprints. We develop digitalized services for the infrastructure and construction sector. We work in close collaboration with actual customers and end users in an 100% agile way of working. Priorities is done in dialogue with our business areas (for instance Volvo Trucks and Volvo Construction Equipment).

Your new team consists of experienced backend and frontend developers, together with one of the most experienced product owner and scrum master at Volvo Group Connected Solutions. This is a chance for you that doesn’t come very often. Here, is where the magic happens. Our team will take care of you and you will get a chance to develop services that supports sustainability, CO2 reduction, more efficient transports and digitalization that revolutionize a very interesting sector.

The role

You are an experienced Java backend developer with skills in Spring Boot, JMS, JSON, UNIX and relational databases. You have a certification in AWS. We put the emphasis on who you are as a person and we believe that your personality is the major reason for you to succeed in this role.

Your profile

• Experience in Java (at least 3 years of recent java development)
• Experience of REST and deploying to AWS is considered as a huge plus. Experience in both front- and back-end is a bonus
• We use agile methods and as we are adopting the DevOps model your work will cover a broad spectrum, all the way from developing prototypes of future world class applications to managing the lifecycle of the existing ones
• You need to have knowledge about DevOps and agile way of working
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in computer science, mechatronics or physics

It is also an advantage if you have

• Knowledge in the Swedish language or has a goal to learn Swedish
• Fluent in Technical English
