The department Intelligent Machine Platforms are now looking for a talented engineer for the role Software developer to join us on this exciting journey and contribute to our important work.

You are either newly graduated or have worked a couple of years as a software developer. You have a good interest in writing good and maintainable code in different levels of the software stack. We mainly use C++ and Java for application development in Linux or Android based environment. Experience in CI/CD is also beneficial.

You are structured, organized, highly supportive with a great team spirit. You are also a positive person with an eager to learn new areas and to dig into the details. You have bachelor or master’s degree in computer science, mechatronics or similar.

The Intelligent Machine Platform department is based in Eskilstuna and globally responsible for development of advanced operator assistance systems and enablers in automation solutions for construction area. This includes everything from safety assistance system, Apps to monitor and improve operator and site productivity, semi-autonomous features and remote-controlled machines. The development is driven in close cooperation with other departments in Volvo CE and Volvo Group.
