Are you ready to redefine the financial industry? Are you looking to leave an impact on the financial lives (and futures) of hundreds of thousands of families across the Nordics? Does a serious technical challenge make your heart beat faster? Do you give energy to those who work with you and are you looking for an energy boosting work environment? Then Nordnet is the place for you!

For us Transparent Banking is not just a slogan!

In brief

Nordnet’s mobile app team is a cross functional autonomous team that consists of developers, UX designers, a Product Owner and an Engineering Manager. The app has been first released in August 2018. It was developed from scratch to replace an old app Nordnet previously had. Since the first release the team has kept a very high pace of delivery by releasing a new app version on every second week. Nordnet is now in an expansive phase and is looking to grow the team significantly.

This is part of the role

As a mobile app developer, you will build on one of the biggest pillars in the financial market. The app has hundreds of thousands of active users and is our most visited channel. As an app developer you will use modern technologies (e.g. React Native, Redux) that handle everything from executing real-time trades, push notifications, streaming real time prices, to advanced financial graphs at the fingertips of users. You will work in a highly collaborative environment (we usually mob or pair program) and you will contribute to what direction the product is going to take.

This is who you are

To succeed in this role, we believe that you take great pride in your work and continuously work on becoming a better developer and a great communicator. Discussing ideas and concepts and learning from your peers is something you believe is important to build great products. You have previously worked with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) with focus on testing and you have MSc certification or similar within Computer Science.

As a developer, you:

- Are highly communicative, transparent and a good listener
- Let code win arguments (ego doesn’t excite you)
- Are eager to learn and grow
- Are humble
- Take pride in delivering
- Are solution oriented and care deeply about the user experience
- Care about code quality, testing and automation of the finished product.

Preferred experience:

- React Native
- RESTful APIs
- JavaScript (ES6)
- Mobile app development
