Interaction Designer / Concept Leader

Escenda offerts specialist services within product development, supplier business development and innovation development to customers within automotive, industrial engineering, medical and telecom. Escenda also offert services within motorsport. The company is based in Göteborg, Sweden.

We are now looking for a skilled Interaction Designer to work as Concept Leader in a project starting early 2016, on site in Gothenburg.

Preferrably we are looking for a permanent hire, but a Consultant/Freelancer may work as well.

The task is updating and refining current and coming generation Infotainment system on a new car model. It is more specifically the interaction (HMI) solution for all the displays in the car. The delivery from the interaction team is interaction specifications for the suppliers to implement according to the set plan. Graphics will be developed internally by the design department.

WORK DESCRIPTION / COMPETENCE REQUIREMENTS

The Concept Leader is responsible for keeping the overall concept together for a homogenous interaction throughout the complete system. You will be part of the Interaction Team together with the interaction developers who will work in pairs and be included in two or several feature teams. It is to those feature teams you will be delivering the HMI/Interaction solution, consisting of a specification in Illustrator and clarifications in Excel/Word.

The work is planned on a daily basis by team leaders and the concept leader together with the HMI responsible project manager.

Frequent meetings with the graphic designer, who is developing the final graphics and animations, are needed. The Concept leader and HMI Responsible are responsible that correct graphic can be delivered in time.

The frameworks for the interaction solution are already well defined. The focus will be on putting the last details in place and get it up and running with the suppliers. If changes of the concept are needed they should be confirmed in the steering group.

We think that you have 2+ years experience from working with interaction design, preferrably involving HMI solutions. It's meriting if you also have experience from working with infotainment and Automotive. You are good at communication and team work.
