About the position

As a Service Specialist at our Forshaga site you work close to the local business to make sure IT supports them in the best way. You will be involved both in IT development and operations. Part of the work is to do minor application development (C#) and create reports (Power BI). Our main production system (MES) is currently being replaced. This is a common project on-going with Skoghall Mill where we want you to be included from the very start. Go-live is planned for autumn 2023. We also see the role supporting our digitalization agenda with innovations and rollouts.

In addition to the development and digitalization work we run & operate our existing IT environment. Main focus will be the Forshaga Plant but you will be part of an amazing team of 20 IT colleagues that together run and develop the local IT environment at Skoghall Mill, Fors Mill, Forshaga Plant and Research Center Karlstad.

Additional work tasks will include:

  • Contact with external vendors
  • Co-ordinate MES changes (order, testing and go-live)
  • Co-operation with Automation department IT/OT
  • Co-operations with other units around the world and our central Group IT organization
  • Contribute to further automate and improve our IT processes and tools.
  • License handling
  • Support the local IT hardware installations

What we are looking for

To succeed in this role, you are eager to learn new things and how that can be used to improve business. You possess a wide IT competence from programming and SQL skills to handle basic infrastructure. You do not need to be the expert as you have full support from the team. Depending on your current skills and future directions, we can partly adjust the work within the team.

You also know Microsoft Office 365 application suite. Previous experience and knowledge about any of the following areas is considered as a benefit, but is not mandatory: Database, MS Azure, server/hosting, network, data communication, active directory, MS Intune, MS Autopilot, MS Power platform.

You will be the local point of contact for employees when it comes to IT relatable questions, therefor we put emphasis on your curiosity, social skills and ability to give great service.

Since you will work in a global environment, English proficiency both in written and verbal is a requirement and Swedish is seen as advantage.
