UX Developer

Pelagicore is committed to bringing stunning user experience to the road through the use of open source software, Qt and automotive expertise.  We are looking for passionate developers with excellent HTML/JavaScript and ideally Qt/QML programming skills. As a member of Pelagicore's User Experience (UX) team you will be developing next generation UX for automotive infotainment systems, based on embedded Linux, Qt and Pelagicore's products.

You will work in close collaboration with interaction and graphics designers at leading carmakers and ensure that next generation design ideas actually hit the road. Its an advantage if you are passionated about in-car usability and principles of good infotainment product behaviour.

For this role we have openings in our teams in both Gothenburg, Sweden, and Munich, Germany.

What will you get to do?

• Implement infotainment user interfaces using QML and JavaScript
• Work closely with graphics and interaction designers on stunning user experiences
• Tweak and polish animations and transitions until they are perfectly fluid
• Work with platform developers to ensure the platform APIs are of top quality
• Become an important member of one of our agile development teams

We believe the you have the following qualifications and experience:

• You are an excellent JavaScript developer. Qt and QML knowledge is considered a big plus.
• You appreciate graphics and interaction design
• You are not afraid of C++ code
• Your communication skills are excellent, and you are fluent in English

Do you have an extra edge over other candidates?

As a UX developer at pelagicore you will be working with Qt and QML. Prior experience from either of these is considered a big plus. Prior experience from designing apps for mobile phones, or experience from the consumer electronics industry is also considered a big plus.
