Technical Development Team Lead

We are looking for an experienced leader for one of our development teams! Our app already has over 3,5 million downloads and our goal is to keep growing fast, and steady.

About the role

This role is part of the product development area and you will lead our Skellefteå based development team towards new heights. You will support a senior team of 5-7 developers with full stack competencies in app, web and backend development. By guiding, coaching and mentoring the team you'll support the personal as well as the collective growth of team members. The developers are divided between four Product teams, working closely with other competencies within the area. Each Product team has a Product Owner who’s responsible for the operational progress and ensures well-functioning agile product development in the value chain.

Support and guide the development team, practicing leadership the Once Upon way - listening, facilitating and always encouraging new ideas and innovations.

Support the team and aid them in reaching the company goals (or even farther), always with the Once Upon brand in mind.

Support the organization with insights regarding product development

Work sprint-based in an agile environment that promotes learning and development

Develop solutions that ensure excellent user-experience.

Your background

We're looking for an experienced leader who has a background within the field. Most likely you have a degree in computer science, or equivalent. It’s a plus if you have previous experience with development using React and writing testable and easy to read code in Java-/Typescript. You are comfortable leading in a fast paced agile development process.

Who you are

Experience from team management with personnel responsibility is a plus, but most important is leadership skills: you are supportive and exceptionally good at actively listening and encouraging others. You’re an excellent communicator in both Swedish and English and enjoy working closely across teams and departments to achieve results. Self motivation and problem solving come easy to you since you are a person who sees possibilities where others see obstacles. If you are also an innovative thinker with an open mind to your own and others' ideas, you will be a great fit to our culture.

Our area has lots of various competencies such as Product Designers, App-tester, User Researcher, UX-Writer and Developers in App, Webb and Backend. Location

This role is located at our headquarters in Skellefteå, in the North of Sweden. We also have offices in Piteå, Örnsköldsvik and Stockholm. We are remote flexible, but for this role we value the creativeness and sense of community that follows from meeting face to face with colleagues.
