Senior Software Developer - Java

We are looking for a Software developer for a UMI (Upgradation, Migration and integration) of an existing system. Our client is located in Karlskrona, A small town where you can feel the baltic breeze on the extreme south.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

To meet the need of a BSS for the Networked Society, we are now designing a new solution, meeting the market demand and technology challenges. It has been designed to meet the specific BSS requirements of the Networked Society as described. It represents an evolution of OSS/BSS portfolio and is designed from the beginning as a single charging and billing product, incorporating end-to-end business process design. This is enabled by an architecture that is: Real-time (end-to-end), Configurable, Open, has a simple Common Information model, facilitates automation and is highly scalable.

Required Job Qualifications and Competences

You must have a university degree (MSc or BSc) in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent. You have at least 5 years of experience in product management and an in-depth fundamental knowledge of mobile communication.

The candidate enjoys working in teams with an exceptional track record of innovation and people skills with ability to work in a multinational, multi-site cross-functional teams/program set-up. Additional we believe the candidate has exceptional analytical and communication skills, with excellent skills in oral and written English. Swedish language skills are an advantage.

The successful candidate will work within this agile team, interacting with many of our software developing teams, cross-site organization for support and maintenance activities. The successful candidate will work in all phases of the life cycle, including design, implementation, verification, maintenance and support of this part within our products.
Working with continues improvements is also part of the role.

You must:

Have a university degree (MSc or BSc) in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
Have object-oriented programming skills (preferably JAVA)
Have experience of Eclipse, Git, and Gerrit
Have strong skills in scripting in general, eg. Python
Have strong experience in UNIX, shell
Have experience of infrastructure, IP in general
Be a team player
Have positive attitude with a passion to win

Any of the following is considered a merit:

Experience of JEE architecture and related design principles
Experience of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA, web services, REST)
Experience of Linux systems.
Experience of verification
Experience of agile development
Experience in Red Hat and/or VmWare
Have general knowledge about virtualization
Location: Karlskrona
