FirstVet is the first truly digital veterinary clinic. We let pet owners meet with licensed veterinarians via their mobile or computer. Our solution contributes to a more balanced and better functioning care process for all parties. By providing a first point of contact for all pet owners FirstVet makes pet care more available, more efficient, and more qualitative.

The role

We are looking for a frontend engineer with solid knowledge of marketing strategy. You will work in a team responsible for our website, firstvet.com, which includes everything that happens to our customer outside of our virtual clinic. As part of this, you will work side by side with marketing to accelerate our acquisition of customers and retention of customers across all verticals. This includes SEO, SEM, tracking, content, retention and cross-sell.

You will be part of an agile team with a lot of responsibility, varied tasks and great opportunities to influence the user interface and user experience.

Your responsibilities

• Own web development for marketing-related web pages and improve the search engine for these pages
• Take part in ideation sessions and product discovery
• Work with the website KPI’s and track results based on projects
• Consistently bring small features and improvements to our website
• Help improve the overall experience of the website by improving the quality of the frontend features

The person we are looking for

To be successful in this role, we believe you have previous experience of a similar role in a startup environment. Also, you are a person who likes to drive new initiatives and work independently on projects. Apart from that we also believe that you have…

• JavaScript/TypeScript skills but also strong with CSS and UX/UI design
• Experience of single page application frameworks such as React, Vue, Angular or similar
• Strong SEO & SEM knowledge
• Solid experience of attribution tracking, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager etc.
• Experience from working with CMS platforms. We currently use a CMS called Craft, but Wordpress, Drupal, Joomla, Contentful or similar could also be relevant
