Frontend Developer (mid or senior level)

Born in 2014 by Creative Director, Max Svärdh and CEO, Albin Johansson, Axel Arigato is a Sweden based contemporary brand that started from an Instagram page and an idea to break into the footwear market.

With deep roots in music, art, architecture and what is contemporary, Axel Arigato has defined itself by offering more than a product. It has been created to leave an experience at the front of mind, whether it’s via stores, online or through events.

Axel Arigato currently has 8 stores, including London, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Munich & Paris with more pending. Expanding from 2 people to now hiring over 100 members of staff in 7 years, Axel Arigato also operates a subsidiary office in London.

We know and appreciate why this type of role and competence is always in a wanted state these days-so how to standout? Come join an actual team and role where you are THE expert. The one to gets to nominate, fix, process, de-process, create, collaborate and get shit done. We are not a team of 20 developers with 3 managers between the decision maker. You come to us with your skills and we listen.

You will be responsible for the Front End development of the Axel Arigato website. The website is built in Next.JS and Typescript, so a good understanding of both is crucial for the role. You will also:

• Collaborate with different teams (mostly Online) within the company, as well as outside consultants from our partner, to give the customers the best experience possible when visiting our site.
• Come up with the best way to implement new features.
• Keep up to date with new and innovative techniques, to be able to apply them when needed.
• Mostly work from a prioritised list - but also be able to drop everything and fix a business important bug, or implement a new feature ahead of a big drop/sale/event.
• Create new, and update existing email-templates using HTML and CSS.
• Manage and maintain two other website, used mostly for internal use. Those are also written in Next.JS and Typescript
• Monitor errors and patching bugs when needed.

We seek someone with over 3 years of working as a Frontend Developer for a customer facing site. We also see you bringing (most of) the following hard skills:

• Git

Good to haves:

• Styled Components
• Vercel
• Google Tag Manager & Google Analytics
• ESLint
