Expert Software Engineer (Expert Java or Kotlin with GCP & Microservices)

We are looking for an Expert Software Engineer within the Goods Movement team within the Store Fulfilment Operations subdomain.

The scope of the services
The team is responsible for a critical part of the transformation from a 35-year-old legacy monolithic platform into a cloud-based, event-driven microservice architecture. The team has the responsibility over the goods movement and replenishment planning capabilities.

The candidate is expected to be in the office at least 2 days a week.

- Requirements

5+ years of experience in software engineering in Kotlin and/or Java

- Solid expertise in building scalable, distributed, loosely coupled systems

- Experience with micro services and event driven architectures

- Experience with coaching, training, and guiding teams from legacy monolithic systems to a new solution architecture

- Experience with Pascal and/or C++, PostgreSQL is a pre

- Excellence English communication skills

- Experience with Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery and DevOps

- Experience with cloud computing platforms (Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services)

- Experience in fulfilment / logistics / warehousing software is a pre

3 things most Important

- Experience with Kotlin/JVM, Google Cloud Platform

- Extensive experience in web development, specifically for distributed, event-driven microservices
