Leica Geosystems are now looking for a Senior Software Engineer

Leica Geosystems and the division of Machine Control are developing advanced software for the civil engineering and construction industry.
We now want to strengthen our software development team with a senior software developer. We are looking for someone with passion for C + + and experience of building programs for Windows – experience from Linux is a bonus. You will be working with further developing a program called iCON Office, a software that helps the user – normally a surveyor- with the daily tasks such as calculation of coordinates and volumes and creation of 3D models, drawings and reports. Experience from cloud computing is a bonus as iCON Office will more and more be linked to our cloud solution, iCON Telematics. You and your colleagues in the team will also contribute to our Machine Control development team working to improve the data flow for all types of data used at construction sites.
You will be part of our Office team located in nice, newly renovated premises in Marievik. As Leica is a global company you will also have a lot of interaction with our colleagues from Switzerland, Australia and Denmark (among others).
The role will require travel a few trips a year, mainly in Europe.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong and extensive C++/Windows development skills
• Extensive knowledge of MFC library and Qt framework
• Proven skills in architecture and platform development
• Well experienced with Test Driven Development
• Experience with Agile development methods
• Bonus: C#/.NET
• Bonus: Cloud Computing/Web services
• BSc/MSc degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Fluent in English
