Would you find it exciting to work with solutions which monitor all safety light functions on airfields and prevents accident as runway incursions?This is your chance, Safegate is currently seeking Embedded Software Engineers to our office in Östersund.
As an Embedded Software Engineer you will work with product development in the area of Airfield Lighting System but you will also get the opportunity to be active within Safegate’s other product areas. As Embedded Software Engineer you will get the advantage working with development both in system architecture and with software development and you should feel confident and interested in both areas.You need to have knowledge and experience of system safety and development of safety critical software as well as a good understanding of hardware and electronics.

Your work assignments
As an Embedded Software Engineer you will work with the development and maintenance of real-time products that operate in our Airfield lighting systems to increase efficiency and quality. You will also be able to work with the development of tools for deployment and maintenance of our products at the airport. You will get the opportunity to follow the product all the way from requirements specification to operations at the customer. You will work both in solo projects and as part of larger projects.

Your background
We expect you to have at least a Bachelor degree or equivalent, with at least five years of relevant experience. You are an experienced programmer with good knowledge of C/C++ and embedded systems. You have good knowledge of system architecture and design.Experience in several of the following technologies/tools is meritorious:

C, C++
Codewarrior, Visual Studio
Subversion 
UML
Object oriented design and patterns
Test driven development 
Integration of software with hardware
Real-time operating system and real-time applications

For this role it is a requirement that you speak and write Swedish and English fluently.
