Football Addicts is looking for Ruby developers to join our team in Gothenburg, Sweden. You will be working on the backend that powers our mobile apps - taking data from our data providers and turning it into useful information in our apps and push notifications that keep our users up-to-date on their favourite teams and competitions. Our platform is built on Ruby on Rails and Sinatra and at peak hours it handles more than 60,000 requests per second and sends millions of push notifications.
We think you have a couple of years of experience writing object-oriented code in Ruby. You know your way around Rails and Sinatra and you have probably built an API for a mobile or web-based client before. You are interested in platforms that run at scale and know about caching, message queues and service-oriented architectures. You have probably spent some time setting up and managing Linux servers for your projects. You enjoy being part of a team, you are good at taking responsibility and you are a good communicator.
We do not hire based on experience with a few tools, number of years of experience or university degrees. Rather, we want to hire developers who are smart, experienced and driven and can learn our tools and adapt quickly to changes.
