This role is within our Global Online Experience (GOX) area where we are developing digital services and products to enable hassle free Volvo Car experience for our customers.
Volvo Cars is accelerating and growing on all fronts Digital. Not only are we working on becoming completely electric by 2030, autonomous drive, and innovations in safety - We are digitizing the entire customer journey allowing customers to build their own cars, direct to consumer sales through digital channels, and car owners interacting with and managing their Volvo cars through apps.
What you’ll do:
* Contribute towards the development, testing, maintenance and integration of applications / systems
* Ideation and brainstorming sessions to devise creative and disruptive digital solutions; APIs and data solutions to drive toward implementation of those solutions
* Use patterns and leverage modern frameworks to build, maintain, and implement our solutions
* Gain knowledge of various development approaches and assisting with the design of ground-up projects and enhancements
* Occasionally play multiple roles (e.g. individual contributor, lead, teacher, mentor)
* Get to know the supported business area(s), have an awareness of related objectives and challenges
* Communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
* Evaluate options and the performance tradeoffs / benefits
Who you are:
Professionally solved challenges with application development and implementation over the last five or more years with:
* C# and .Net programming
* Event-based systems (eg. Kafka, SQS, SNS, or similar)
* REST API Design and Implementation
* Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
* Relational and non-relational databases (MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, etc)
* Kubernetes and Terraforming
Any CSPs (Azure/AWS/GCP)
Good if you have:
Typescript, JavaScript (React or other frameworks)
You:
* Develop unit tests and using version control
* Understand the Product development and Agile mindset
* Adhere to coding quality standards
Steer productive team communication and collaboration on problem solving
