We are currently looking for a Java developer in Haessleholm

Your mission:

As a Software Engineer, you will participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle and be working together in a team in a global and agile environment. You have experience from developing java applications running either in a local or server-side environment. Experience from web application development (JavaScript/HTML/CSS and front-end frameworks) is meritorious. Our team is developing software tools intended to configure Alstom’s signaling products. Our growing team with around 30 developers, are present in Sweden and Thailand. Currently we are on an exciting journey of bringing our applications to the cloud. If you are seeking for challenges and want to develop yourself, join our diverse team in Hässleholm, Sweden.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Software Development including analysis, design, implementation and test.

• Software implementation mainly using either Java and Eclipse Modelling Framework or web technologies.

• Analysis and estimates of new features.

• Creation of user stories and maintaining of backlogs.

• Support and maintenance of existing features.

• Offering input and support for functional testing.

• Technical and product domain knowledge within railway signaling systems.

• Technical support and documentation.

Your experience and qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or any other relevant specialization.

• Strong experience with Java v8 or v11 and OOP.

• Proven experience in software development and work in large and complex products.

• Fast learner and ability to grasp new concepts quickly.

• Versatile and sense for quality and responsibility.

• Knowledge of Agile methodology.

• Excellent team player and a good communicator.

• Language: Fluent in English speaking and writing.

• Experience in:

o Git version control software.

o Gerrit code collaboration tool.

o Java build environment such as Maven.

• Preferred experience in:

o JavaScript, CSS & HTML with front-end frameworks such as Vue.js.

o Node.js and Spring Framework.

o Azure cloud services.

o Database management.

o Eclipse IDE.
