Over the course of the past six years, we’ve grown into a business of over 3000+ Instaboxers united by a single purpose; providing an uncomplicated shipping service - all in order to make everyday life easier. We want to change the industry and not only be a part of the future, but to drive development towards it. It should be easy to shop online, and therefore we offer millions of customers across Europe a hassle-free and fossil-free shipping experience.

We’re fast, both in terms of parcel delivery and when it comes to growing our business. So far our journey has taken us from Sweden to the rest of Scandinavia and parts of continental Europe, but we have no plans on stopping anytime soon. As we continue to expand, the complexity of Instabox grows in parallel. With that in mind, we’re now looking for Backend Developers to help us to govern our journey ahead!

About the role

As a Backend Developer at Instabox, you'll be working in an agile cross-functional team with a clear mission and problem space to solve. All of our teams are highly collaborative and we’re looking for people who thrive on working closely with other engineers to solve hard problems. Together with stakeholders and product managers, you'll design APIs and create applications that are used by all branches within the company and our customers.

Our engineers make some of the most important decisions for the company and our products. We’re looking for people who enjoy learning, sharing, and working with other developers to solve new and interesting problems. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to exercise real ownership of the services that are owned by your team.

When you join us, you’ll have a part in deciding the technologies that we use. From day one you’ll get to work with:

- Node.js
- MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis
- Terraform
- GCP/GKE

Depending on your profile and preferences there are also full-stack positions where you also would be working with:

- React
- TypeScript/JavaScript
- Design Systems

About you

At Instabox we value individuals who are keen to learn, and your eagerness to develop your own skillset will undoubtedly be your strongest asset when joining us. If you're a skilled problem solver who loves coding and making complex things work, then this is the place for you. Beyond that we imagine that you have some of the following points on your resumé:

- +3 years experience in a backend or fullstack role in a modern Tech environment
- Experience with JavaScript/Node.js
- PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB experience (or equivalent database technologies)
- Basic understanding of Terraform and Debian/Ubuntu (any Linux distro would apply)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
