We are looking to redefine all aspects of the car eco-system including ownership, assisted and autonomous driving, vehicle electrification, sustainability and online shopping. User Experience as a discipline is a key part of Volvo Cars' strategy and will help gather insights about our users and define and craft the next generation of Volvo’s experiences. We are seeking a Head of UX Design Operations. This is a Sr. Manager level position that is part of the UX leadership team.

Main responsibilities include:

Your primary role is to help make the UX organisation operate efficiently through process support, communications and collaboration. You can help the UX organisation operate better in the company by connecting processes to other teams and disciplines and you know how to improve the efficiency of design. You will collaborate with other operations, business and planning partners across the company on behalf of UX Management. You can also support Internal communication and evangelism for good customer experience practices. You will help the UX team operate more efficiently. You are an expert of UX design processes and organisational tools. You can manage design reviews and evolve review processes for the team. Improving the employee and workplace experience you will help track, and create tools and processes to track OKR, metrics & design objectives to help the teams stay focused. You are great at evolving and adapting tools You will support the UX leadership team in having more impact. You will help the team with organisational level planning, and tracking. You will make sure presentations are executed at high quality. You may help coordinate some activities, for content creation, events and media so the UX team shines. You will lead a very small team, which can include consultants, and partner very closely with other operations people within the company, such as Design, product and more.

Who you are:

​​​​​​​Bachelor degree or equivalent experience You’ve been working in a design-related field for 10+ years for a consumerfocused tech company, so you understand what it takes to create elegant, consumer-oriented experiences. Proven experience in design operations, design agencies working with software product teams. Experience with agile development and methodologies with both product and marketing design teams You are flexible and helping jump on the problems that need fixing to make the team operate better. Deep experience working with creative/design teams, understanding how to integrate process with creative minds Ability to understand complex programs, scope and prioritise projects, define schedules, and work independently You are proactive and solution-oriented and doing what’s needed to get done for the team to thrive.

Location

Volvo Cars Headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden. As a leadership position, the candidate is expected to primarily be onsite
