We are now expanding at our Battery Competence Center and are looking for a

Algorithm Developer


Electrification is one of Husqvarna’s key strategic priorities and its success will eventually come to define us as a company. The Husqvarna Group Battery Competence Center is in the center of this transformation. Our ambition is to reach global leadership within battery powered outdoor equipment. In order for us to do so we need you on this great journey with us!

The position can be based in Huskvarna or Jonsered and of course we use a Hybrid working model.


The role

You will be a part of our team that develop embedded software for Husqvarna batteries. The batteries are used in the whole range of products and the organizational aim is to bring intelligent power to future products.

In this role you will continue to develop and implement the different algorithms inside the battery. The development will be both in formulas and in code. The algorithms will enable an optimal utilization of the batteries. We are a delivery unit so we work in all phases from concept to industrialization in factory. The team is multi-site and multi-national and are located in both Sweden and Germany. We have an entrepreneurial spirit but the advantages of the structure from a large company.


Your main responsibility will be to work with different projects. You are part of a team where the software is a product that goes into different new machines within the company. The team work within the whole spectra of software engineering - Specification, Design, Implementation, Test and Documentation. The code is written in C and the test cases in C++ .


Who are you


We see that you have several years of experience in a similar position or are really good at control theory, mathematics or physics. You probably have a higher university degree, preferably with focus on control theory, mathematics or physics. You are fluent in both English and C/C++ and enjoy being part of a great team.

To really enjoy the role, it is important that you are creative and analytical with a curious mind and enjoy working with different stakeholders.
