With the growing demand for a state-of-the-art customer experience and smart vehicles, automotive manufacturers are more frequently developing automobiles with integrated infotainment systems - systems that provide a combination of entertainment and information for an enhanced in-vehicle experience in a safe way. A modern infotainment system connects with all the new technologies like: ADAS, V2X connectivity, smartphones integration, connected services, and integrates them with each other to provide a great driving experience.

About the role

We have great opportunities for those of you who want to work as a consultant and work with all or some of the layers of the automotive stack; from Embedded C/C++ programming and Java development, to application and user interface implementation in Android.

Your experience

As an Android automotive developer, you will be highly involved in a lot of aspects of development projects. You therefore have good understanding of how the Android system is structured, experience in Android framework development and previously have been involved in architecture and development discussions.

You will most likely start out in an exciting project, in a cross-functional agile team, just to get started and getting to know the Knowit way of working. You'll work with varied tasks and will work in teams where knowledge sharing and innovation are central. You can see the value of good collaboration within a team and have experience working in an agile environment. You have the desire to learn and a strive for future development and challenges as a consultant.

Skills we are looking for

You have a solid interest in software development, probably with a university education or have worked for a few years in a product development or consulting organization focusing on android software development.

You have experience in working with modern development environments and using tools, frameworks and processes for Android development, like GIT, embedded Linux, Continuous integration, automated unit tests, Android debugging and integration testing.

You most likely have a background as a Software Developer with around 4 years of experience in Android automotive, Java, C or C++. Testing experience and knowledge of how to effectively test a system both at unit level and at higher integration levels is also beneficial as well as having some understanding Kotlin and CI/CD.

We are looking for a person who is creative and like to solve problems, you are innovative, open to new ideas and like to share your knowledge. Since you will be working as a consultant in a team and deliver high-quality solutions, it is important that you can work well together with others. It is a plus if you have customer interaction experience and don't mind doing some fun Knowit network mingling as well, (as it is part of your future role as a consultant).

As we harbor many nationalities and work with global clients, you need to be comfortable with using English as your working language. Professional proficiency in Swedish is a plus.
