JAVA Developer

mika:timing is the market leader in Germany, one of the leading service providers worldwide and manages approximately 400 events per year in the sports of running, triathlon, cycling, inline skating, cross-country skiing, enduro motocross and obstacle courses. Many of the major international marathons use the services of mika:timing.

As a service provider, we accompany event organizers throughout the entire course of the project, provide advice in the planning phase, take over participant and data management and are on site with an experienced team, modern equipment and tried-and-tested technology for timekeeping and results presentation.

Through our event apps, we connect digital solutions such as leaderboard, live tracking and live audioexperience with sport, competition and leisure experience.

50 employees in Germany and 7 employees at our Swedish subsidiary est mika:timing are dedicated to inspiring our customers. Around 100 temporary staff, some of whom have been with us for many years, strengthen the team at the events.

For the further development and co-design of our Java applications, we are looking for a dedicated full-time employee for our location in Bergisch Gladbach (hybrid) or Kungsbacka.

Java Developer (m/w/x)

What are your tasks with us?

▪ Further development, co-design and maintenance of our existing Java/JEE applications

▪ Further development of the interfaces (REST API)

▪ Configuration and deployment of the applications

▪ Tests/quality assurance in cooperation with the specialist departments

What do you ideally bring?

- Passion for the development of first-class applications

- Sound knowledge of Java & Spring Boot.

- Good knowledge of software architectures and design patterns, as well as know how in webtechnologies (REST + GraphQL, JSON, HTTP)

Advantages are:

o AWS knowledge

o GitLab CI/CD knowledge ( + AutoDevops or Jenkins)

o Experience in performance optimisation

- You convince with a structured way of working, a high level of quality awareness and a hands-on mentality

- You communicate easily with employees, colleagues and service providers in English and Swedish, both spoken and in writing
