Junior Backend Engineer

Job Description

We’re looking for junior software engineers to join our core backend team to help out with bringing Tink to millions of people across Europe. You’ll work directly with adapting Tink to new geographical markets; both integrating with financial institutions, processing vast amounts of semi-structured data, and creating end-user features local to specific countries.

This is a great role to learn the ropes of the business and to grow as a software engineer in the company of great colleagues, likely as your first job after university.

The role requires a great deal of both self-direction as well as teamwork. We don't really care about your experience with specific frameworks or platforms, but we would like you to have a background from/interest in:

• Systems development (Java, Python, C#, or similar)

And it would be a bonus if you have experience from/interest in:

• Security and encryption (symmetric/asymmetric encryption models, reverse engineering, etc.)
• Service oriented architecture (REST, microservices, etc.)

We launched two years ago and we now have over 400 000 users in Sweden and are currently expanding into multiple new geographical markets. How we work

At Tink, every engineer is a product manager and we structure our work with a high degree of autonomy and freedom, all while collaborating extensively with our colleagues in order to make the best possible products for our users.

We typically work in short iterations and in small project groups with both designers and engineers, regularly going from conceptual discussions to shippable product features in a few weeks.

You must have a demonstrated ability for building elegant and efficient solutions. The positions call for individuals who knows how to work a team, good eye for detail, is reliable and able to work within tight project timelines. Tink is an brand new type of personal finance app, that automatically collects and categorizes transactions and assets from your banks, credit-card providers and other financial institutions, and helps you make wiser financial decisions and to save and spend smarter. We’re currently live in Sweden and are coming to other markets shortly.
