Designing great software and hardware is about more than just cranking out good code. It’s about a whole team working in tandem and understanding what and why we’re building the solution. It’s about having compassion with the customer. It’s about caring.

Now - caring is not pulling 60 hour weeks. Caring is not tweaking the database connection pooling layer for the last 5% or achieving 100% test coverage. That’s obsessing. We don't do that.

Caring means understanding your users and customers and delivering what they need at a price they expect with a design that blows their mind.

About you and the value you bring
At The Techno Creatives, no one person is one thing. We all have our Majors and Minors. You may be a Major in Android development, but your minors are Web and Unity. Or your major is DevOps, but you can also do Python and a little bit of Typescript if push comes to shove.

As a Rust oriented Backend developer, this is second nature to you. Even though Rust is your Major, you've dabbled in a number of languages across Linux, Mac, and sometimes Windows, as well as whatever runs up there in The Cloud™. You're familiar with databases and APIs. Possibly GraphQL, definitiely REST, maybe gRPC.

Code is no good running on your machine so you know how to package and deploy it to a server. Well there, you can debug it and figure out why the heck it’s making 10 queries per second when it should be caching the results.

Git and other command-line tools are your friends. You like Rust, but you aren't a fanatic. You probably also know a bit about something esotheric. I bet you made a parser for something that didn’t really need parsing. Or you made a wrapper that takes yaml and generates Android keyboards for indegenous minority populations... That sounds wild. We’d love to hear about it.

And even if you don't, you're curious and willing to learn - and that’s easy. Because you care. Not about Rust - but about what you can build!

About the job
The Techno Creatives will not bore you. We are running a host of different projects. Some internal, like our The Techno Creatives Originals series of projects with Elevate (our IoT platform and accompnying services written in Rust). Some external like our platforms for automotive infotainment services and a host of others.

If you were here right now, you might be doing IoT Backends, trailer renting web-backends, cross-platform spell-checkers, 3D projection mapping helper, ML/AI Big Data realtime timeseries predictions. But that’s now.

We don’t do one thing. We are not that kind of company. But we always do it together. We work from our office and you will be a part of a team that’s about to blow someone’s socks off.
