Senior Software Developer, Platform Team

About the role
Freespee partners with several telecom operators around the world for a variety of services including telephone numbers. As our offering includes telephone numbers across several countries, area codes, and number types around the world, there is a constant need to order, test, launch, retire and return numbers to our telecom partners.

The primary initial focus for this role is to be the senior architect and developer for a project to automate several parts of this process between Freespee and our telecom operator partners.

You will also get the chance to work on creating a platform that internal and external products can be built upon.

Who you are
We believe you love coding and have a solid understanding of object-oriented programming. You enjoy learning and improving. You are comfortable in a team environment and take responsibility for your deliveries, and pride in the quality of your work.

To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Experience with building robust backend systems based on NodeJS and Typescript
- Hands-on expertise in developing and maintaining IaC in a cloud estate built with Cloud Services(ex. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.)
- Passion to contribute to software architecture and design, specifications, development, documentation, change management, quality assurance, and maintenance
- Knowledge of Microservices based architecture
- Experience with container orchestration systems such as Docker/Kubernetes
- Passion for writing clean and testable code
- Knowledge of operational aspects in own and team’s work: monitoring, logging, scalability, performance, and more.

We would consider it a bonus if you also have:
- Familiarity with network security systems and software
- Familiarity with message brokers or queuing systems (ex: Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, SQS)
- Familiarity with VoIP systems and IP Protocols.
